Superstar Sibs with Swoosh.jpg

Childcan recognizes that childhood cancer affects the whole family. Siblings of children with cancer too often feel lonely, frightened, forgotten, angry, jealous, confused, and even grief before, during and after their brother or sister’s diagnosis.

That’s why Childcan is so excited to be able to offer our Super Star Sibs Program!

Super Star Sibs is dedicated to comforting, encouraging, and empowering siblings during their family’s battle against childhood cancer, helping them to face the future with courage and hope.

Childcan families are eligible for the program upon diagnosis, or if the family is on active treatment or maintenance.

The Super Star Sibs Program will periodically send age-appropriate gifts and support to children between the ages of 4-18 who have experienced the childhood cancer diagnosis of a sibling.

All of the items have been chosen to help reassure siblings that they are not alone, and to validate the feelings they may be experiencing.

The program includes:

·        Four mailings over a one-year period, containing age-appropriate support resources and fun activities;

·        An annual birthday surprise; and

·        Graduation recognition at the end of the program.
